Skeleton in the closet

Put there through shame.

Leaves a permanent deposit,

Ruins a good name.

Elephant in the room

Ignored with a shrug.

Seen as pending doom,

Sweep under the rug.

Head in the sand,

Refusing to hear truth.

Won’t budge or understand,

Condemns us all uncouth.

Do not be afraid

Or surrender any right,

Blinding dark will fade

Exposed to the light.
